The most remarkeble event that happened during the reign of Djoser was a seven year famine .
This seven year famine was inserted into the biblical story of Joseph in his sojourn in egypt.
This famine is recorded in Pharaoh unas causeway.This famine must have left an indelable memory on later Pharaohs. conbera

You are indeed right, and to see the stele in real life, you must visit Aswan, for there it still stands written in stone.
I do indeed know of the Biblical history, but I see things in a different light (which we all should be allowed too).
But I do not classify this as the most remarkable event in his days. I see that period in time as many different things colliding with each other, as bad crops and a lack from the ministry side to handle the events happening.

I like you site and think that it is very informative. What I have learned, about the pyramids and thier respective geographical-astrological orientations is that thez are based on the star constellation of Sirius. Being that Siris is the galactic center, our solar system's GREAT YEAR revolves around our own sun's journey toward this great star. The Ta-Meri (Egytian) empires were heavily steeped in this sacred astronomy and chartered the heavens for MILLIONS of years (i.e. temple at Denderah with the Hippopatumus Mother Goddess).

My conclusion is that if they (Ta-Meri) had that calender back then, it tooks literally thousands of years to reach that point. This is where you get into the untold earth history. Pretty interesting stuff.

Concerning the great Pyramid at Giza, I personally state nothing about it (because I am waiting…) I can concur with the fact that many people believe its orientation has something to do with Sirius. If we are talking about the constellation where we find the star Sirius in, then it is the Great Dog (Canis Major - see my astrology blog.) On the other hand I would not call Sirius a galactic centre, I (as I also write in my book the secret of Anubis) look at the North star (name) as being a galactic point much greater than Sirius – but here I personally do not know yet, still lacking curtain knowledge. But Sirius is as important maybe even more regarding the nature upon earth (which we haven’t used for ages now) But Sirius would define the year in ancient Egypt. Actually I would call the mother goddess of Denderah ‘Het-Her/Hathor’ But I indeed know what you are referring to when mentioning the Hippopotamus Mother Goddess. I am just so curtain that this great and very ancient goddess has that role regarding Denderah. I say this merely because, if I am not mistaken then the Hippopotamus Goddess is very fare back in ancient Egypt, being an ancestor of even the Egyptian themselves, especially in the time period the Denderah temple was build. But you could be right, in that she (the Hippopotamus goddess) might have been the great goddess before the time of Denderah. There seem to be evidence of a temple belonging to the older Egyptian pharaohs (I found such evidence myself). But indeed the Hippopotamus can be found there in multitude. To this must be added the fact, that there are also many Hippopotamus characters in ancient Egyptian history/mythology, such as Ipet which means ‘favoured place/Harem’ (actually many people believe that Harem means a man having many women, which as I am told, it is Not. I was told in Egypt, that it meant the ‘kitchen area’ the place were the women kept them selves busy, actually sometimes the men were not allowed in there. Still many misconceptions in the world.) Then we have Reret which means ‘sow’. Wow I am writing so much, that I might make a post about this.
But I agree completely, it was truly a sacred astronomy/astrology the ancient people had.
